Dragon Slaying during the ESO Dragonguard Event

Running around slaying Dragons is fun in ESO!

There be dragons in the Khajiit homeland of Elsweyr! And this event has been a blast from start to finish.

While the event itself has been simple and involves players running around while they do dailies in Northern and Southern Elsweyr as well as slaying the big group boss dragons that land, it was my first time actually running around these two regions and I must say, I fell in love with them. The Khajiit culture and architecture seems to be a mix between Indian, Pakistani and other Indian Ocean cultures and the environment of the zones are diverse. These is a sense of grandeur and elegance when spawning into the large plaza in Rimmen, so much so that I couldn’t help but by the room at the local inn there. I love the place!

Northern Elsweyr is more arid while Southern Elsweyr is lush with a dense jungle. It made running around in these zones such a good time. I love how ESO do their zones and make each one feel unique and rich with things to see and do. The vibrant zones of Elsweyr are so well crafted that it really felt like I had been transported to another world. I also have a soft spot for the cultures that these zones took their influence from. It’s all just so colourful and vibrant.

While the dailies I focused on was mostly killing World Bosses, I had a lot of fun running around with a horde of other players as we chased down and killed Dragons. Arriving at a wayshrine and watching the map, keeping our eyes open for the dragon to fly into the map and following his path all the while we try figure out where he will land and then bolt to that location as quickly as possible, and I do mean quickly! There were so many players that the Dragon’s health really just gets melted instantly. So if you aren’t quick on the ball you’ll miss out.

This has been one hell of an event and I’m looking forward to the next one!
