Immortals: Fenyx Rising’s Post-Launch Content

A look at the exciting DLC plans for Ubisoft’s new IP!

I am so keen for Immortals: Fenyx Rising. I don’t have it yet, but it looks like so much fun. From what I hear, many are calling it a surprise hit of 2020.

The title is a cartoonish game inspired by Greek Mythology. It was created by the developers behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It has a beautiful map, mind-stimulating puzzles, flashy combat, and a nice looking gear system.

From everything I’ve seen, it looks like my kind of game, especially after watching the post-launch trailer, which features some really nice things.

A New God

The first DLC will take players to Olympus, the home of the Greek Gods, and will feature new puzzles to solve.

Myths of the Eastern Realm

This expansion takes players to a new map and introduces them to a new character because it is all about Ancient Chinese mythology. This is exactly what I was hoping Ubisoft does with this IP. Use it to explore various mythologies in a high fantasy setting.

The ancient mythologies of the world basically tell their own great stories. I’d love to see them tackle Norse, Japanese, Egyptian and Native American Indian mythology some time. Even an Arthurian Legend would be cool!

The Lost Gods

The third DLC takes us back to Greek Mythology with a new character and what looks like a different game. This DLC is entirely viewed from a top-down perspective and looks a lot like an ARPG.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising players are in for a treat it seems and I’m looking forward to picking the game up as soon as I can.
