I love horror games. There are very few horror games I can’t handle. Well, namely Outlast but other than that, I like running for my life and screaming like a little girl. It’s a lot of fun. Especially, when you’re running with friends and screaming like little girls together!
Surprisingly, there were quite a few scary games on show during the showcase event. All of these games will be coming to Gamepass, which is pretty good. So, without further ado, here are the games that are bound to give you a scare!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2
Many years ago a game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R came out. Now, after all these years, it is finally coming back and had a really freaky trailer, which made me scream with joy. The original game was loosely inspired by the film of the same name as well as the book the film was based on.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R sees players surviving in a radioactive area called The Zone… it’s Chernobyl. The trailer showed enough to get fans excited. All they really had to do was show the title card but no, they showed us some mysterious screens, which was more than anyone was expecting.
Warhammer: Darktide
This game looks insanely scary. It is being made by the same team behind Warhammer: Vermintide, which was also quite terrifying. Don’t believe me? Check out the trailer below.
The Medium
This game hails back to the Silent Hill games and more so than just in style but in sound as well. The music will be composed by Akira Yamaoka who also did the legendary score for various Silent Hill games.
The trailer looked insane and if you like psychological horror games, you should give it a look.
The Biggest Surprise
So, near the start of the event, a trailer began rolling. It showed a woman sitting at a camp in the middle of a snowy forest on a cold night. After scaring off a hungry wolf, she then moves through the forest in the morning.
Initially, I thought this was Vigor...but nope…it was clear that it looked more like Day Z, especially when the end of the trailer revealed a zombie buck devouring a wolf.
Then, the State of Decay logo appeared and, for a split second, I thought this was an expansion for State of Decay 2 until the number 3 appeared on screen… so yeah… we’re getting State of Decay 3. And it has zombie animals… great…
These all look like solid titles.
Are you excited about being scared out of your mind?
