Xbox Showcase Event: Halo Infinite and Destiny 2 News

A quick look at some more Xbox News.

Shooters are a big thing within video games. They make up a huge portion of the gaming spectrum and with good reason. Shooting bad guys is fun. Feeling like a badass and the hero is amazing and doing all of that with your friends is even better.

Shooters are normally fast-paced and full of moment-to-moment gameplay. Now, take shooters and put them in space and you have something pretty epic on your hands. At the Xbox Showcase, there was ample love for sci-fi shooters, namely in the gameplay reveal of Halo Infinite and Destiny 2.

I’ll be honest with you; I’m not much of a fan of either of these franchises, but I do appreciate what they are doing with them.

Halo Infinite

This game is one of Xbox’s flagship franchises. One could say the Xbox was built around this franchise. Halo is making its triumphant return and this time it is bringing a vast open-world to explore.

The gameplay was pretty fun to watch and had some fast-paced action. I’m tempted to go through the older games, so that I would have more of an excuse to try this one out. The scope of this game is said to be huge but nobody is truly sure of the size. Halo Infinite will be a lunch title for the Xbox Series X.

Destiny 2

I didn’t like Destiny 1. I’m just going to say that off the bat, I found it very tedious and repetitive and I am not so much into the first-person shooter PvP side of things. I haven’t tried Destiny 2, mostly because it looked the same as Destiny 1.

The game went free-to-play a while ago, but people told me to really get a kick out of it the various expansion packs were needed. Well, those expansion packs are coming to Gamepass.

This is quite a big deal. I was watching the event with a friend in party chat and he said I had no excuse to not give Destiny 2 a go after this reveal. So… I guess I’ll be trying it out pretty soon.

If shooters in space are your thing, then Xbox Series X is going to be right up your alley.

Are you excited about these?
