Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line is beloved amongst collectors. So, it is no surprise that they went all out this year, especially since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. This gave Hasbro access to the X-Men franchise as well as the acclaimed Deadpool films. But legal talk is boring; let’s jump into the figures starting with the biggest surprise from their booth.
Deadpool and X-Men Movie Line
The Ryan Reynolds depiction of Deadpool is loved by superhero fans worldwide. And now we not only get him in Marvel Legends form but Josh Brolin’s Cable as well as Zazie Beetz’s Domino. These figures look amazing, especially Deadpool, which is why fans lost their minds when they saw them.
We are also getting the X-Men film line in the form of a Magneto (with alternate heads depicting Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender) and Charles Xavier (with alternate heads depicting the Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy). It’s a really good deal seeing as though you’re getting two different depictions of each character in one figure.
They are also making Mystique but I can’t tell if this is the Jennifer Lawrence or the Carmen Electra version. And yes, they are making two Hugh Jackman Wolverines! One in his white tank top and the other in his leather jacket. Much swoon!
Venom Wave and Old Man Logan
They are also working on a Venom wave of figures. These see iconic characters that have been ‘Venomized’. They showed off a Venomized Captian America that looks amazing as well as a Venomized Miles Morales.
But you know what I’m also drawn to? Cowboys! And they revealed an Old Man Logan figure with a duster coat and cowboy hat to boot as well as an Old Man Hawkeye that comes with a new ‘pinless’ joint system, which would be interesting to see how it plays out.
There was a ton of things on display at their booth, too much for one article so instead, I’ll just link Toyark’s gallery as they were on the floor taking pictures for all of us to drool over.
