Rumour: New Assassin’s Creed Gameplay Details Leaked; Reveals Info On Combat, Co-Op, and Open-World

A new leak has allegedly detailed various gameplay elements featured in the next Assassin’s Creed instalment.

Ubisoft is famously terrible at keeping information about the next instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise under wraps. For the past year, there have been many alleged leaks regarding the upcoming title with the most recent coming from Amazon Germany. Well now, another leak has surfaced (on 4chan this time) and it appears to be rather detailed, revealing quite a bit about upcoming gameplay features.

According to the leak, Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok will release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X on 29 September 2020. It will also allegedly contain a 4-player co-op feature similar to Ghost Recon Wildlands. Players will be able to choose between a male or female assassin named Jora, similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The game will expand on the RPG mechanics seen in previous entries with a class-based system. In addition, weapons will be durable and upgradable.

Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok will also supposedly have the biggest open-world in the series beating both Origins and Odyssey in size. The game will also bring back the sailing mechanics seen in a few entries in the series but a greater focus will be placed on exploration instead of combat, such as in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.

Stealth mechanics are also changing with players being able to hide in mud and snow. Although players will still be able to hide among crowds, they will only be able to do so if they are wearing the appropriate attire. A reputation system will also be employed with players needing to gain rep in new towns to unlock additional quests.

All of this covers only part of what the leak suggests. If you want to read up on all it has to say, make sure to check out the post in the link provided above. If all of it is true, it really seems that Ubisoft has been hard at work overhauling the series.

What do you think about some of these gameplay details?
