Much to everyone’s excitement, Epic Games delivered an update to Fortnite. It didn’t launch a new season (that’s slated for next month) but it did bring in the much-anticipated Overtime challenges and rewards, which will no doubt keep players busy for the rest of the season. There’s a lot to go over, so let’s get into it.
Overtime Rewards
Remedy, 8-Ball, Rippley and Chic all get new styles to unlock during the Overtime challenges. Rippley and Remedy look good in their new purple colour schemes while Chic and 8-Ball rock the elegant black and gold pallet quite well. These variants are acquired when players complete new objectives.
Zadie
“She’s got her eyes on you”
The first of the leaks start with Zadie who looks like she’s ready to cause mayhem and destruction wherever she goes. She comes with different styles too and fits in with the more militaristic style of characters.
Metal Mouth
“What lies behind that sinister smile?”
Am I writing about Army of Two or Fortnite here? The male counterpart to Zadie looks badass enough to strike fear into other players and comes with different styles as well. These two characters would make a nice pair and I’m sure players would like to get both as they complement each other.
Jellie
“The anemone you don’t want for an enemy”
I don’t have many words for this skin other than he looks cute but is totally capable of blowing a bowling ball-sized hole in your head…
Bull Shark
“You mess with the bull you get the shark”
This skin is currently in the item shop at the time of writing. He looks a little silly though but for those who are a fan of JAWS and like GI Joe, this guy is right up your alley.
Komplex
“The World’s Waiting, make your mark”
It wouldn’t be a leak without at least one urban spray paint inspired Skin. Komplex adds a bit of colour to these skin leaks and she looks like she means business.
Clash
“Wherever she goes, trouble follows…”
One of the simpler skins out of this batch is Clash who also retains that militaristic style.
Caution
“Stay alert, danger is all around.”
Caution is a pretty generic looking skin compared to the others though but he has got a different style too. He looks like a combat reader mountain climber, which suits Chapter 2’s mountainous map.
Tango
“You’ve got the moves”
Tango looks like an urban guerrilla fighter of sorts. Someone you’d expect to see on the frontlines of a revolution. He’s a tad more colourful than the others but this doesn’t detract from his mean look.
Arctic Troopers (Male)
The last batch of skins come in the form of the regular default characters dressed up in arctic camouflage. There is no word on whether these are a bundle or will be sold separately.
Arctic Troopers (Female)
Same deal as the male variants and it goes to show that the default characters can be made to look considerably more badass akin to the other skins on this list.
There’s more skins to go over, you can look at more skins here.
