Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is one of the longest-running franchises in the modern era of gaming, spanning multiple games across various eras. With the last entry in the series (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey) having been released in 2018, many have waited patiently for the next game to be revealed. It seems that a recent leak from Amazon Germany may have done just that by accident.
Earlier this week, a listing for Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok Valhalla Edition appeared on Amazon Germany, but was promptly taking down. The leak all but confirmed that the next game will take place during the Viking era. While the listing did not have a featured image, it is weird that it featured a name for a game that does not exist.

While this leak has not been confirmed, it does corroborate another leak, which stated that the next Assassin’s Creed game will release in 2020 and will be set in the Viking era. Perhaps it’s all just coincidental but multiple leaks suggesting the same thing could mean it’s true.
Ubisoft has been quiet about the next entry in their famed adventure series. Many thought they would announce the new game at E3 2019 but it was a no show. The idea of a Viking setting is exciting and it will be interesting to see how the publisher follows up the successes that were Origins and Odyssey.
Whether or not the game will feature a Viking setting remains to be seen. Hopefully, Ubisoft will reveal the game soon and it will prove to be just as well-received as Odyssey was.
How do you feel about the next Assassin’s Creed?
