Battle for Neighborville was a surprise release last year. It isn’t perfect but it is fun and maintains that crazy aesthetic that the previous shooters in this franchise held. So, when PopCap Games and EA announced their Q1 roadmap, fans were delighted to hear some additional details on top of what we all could already guess.
Snow Day (January)
January’s season, which is currently underway, features the hub world, Giddy Park, in a snowy coating much like last season but this time the sun is out and everyone is having fun blowing each other up in the snow. The Prize Map is back featuring items for the Snapdragon character as well as a really nice Foot Soldier skin. It’s a good time to jump into Neighborville right now. So, if you’re looking for a game to kick off the new year, give this a gander.
Valenbrainz Festival (February)
It is no surprise that Plants vs Zombies is going to jump into the Valentine’s shindig just like almost every other game. Expect Giddy Park to be littered with balloon hearts, chocolates, lovey-dovey-themed decorations and other nauseating decors.
Think it’s safe to assume that the characters Rose and 80s Action Hero (the zombie with the bow) will feature on the prize map for this season. There will also be a new Turf Takeover map added to the game, which is exciting.
Luck O’ the Zombie Festival (March)
Good ol’ luck of the Irish, hey! This season will be all about St. Patrick’s Day. Expect lots of green in Giddy Park. What’s really exciting about this season is that a new character will be added to the game dubbed ‘A magical new zombie character’. That has had lots of tongues wagging. But that’s all we know about this character. Ranked Arena Matches will be added as well.
This is quite a strong line-up for Battle for Neighborville’s first quarter. It’ll be interesting to see what else they have up their sleeve for the rest of the year. But until then…I have a prize map to grind!
