Monster Hunter: World has become one of Capcom’s best games in recent years, remaining popular with players since its release in January 2018. Part of the reason it has been able to remain popular is through Capcom releasing regular updates and expansions for the title. Monster Hunter: World Iceborne is one such expansion but it is currently only available on consoles. Well, Capcom has just revealed that Iceborne will be making its way to PC on 9 January 2020.
Along with the release date, Capcom revealed that PC pre-orders will include the “Yukumo”-layered armor set. The game’s digital deluxe edition will also come with exclusive additions, such as the “Silver Knight”-layered armor set, three gestures, one face paint, one hairstyle, two sticker sets, and a decor set to customise your home. The PC port will also feature a high-resolution texture pack, 4K resolution, an uncapped frame rate, ultra-wide screen support, DirectX 12 support, and improved keyboard and mouse controls.
Monster Hunter: World is Capcom’s best-selling game of all-time, selling over 14 million copies globally since launching in 2018. Iceborne is a big expansion for the original game and adds a new region to the map and a slew of gameplay changes. The expansion has also sold really well, selling 2.5 million units on console alone. The game also has a major crossover with Resident Evil planned for November.
Monster Hunter: World is a fantastic game and its expansion Iceborne is a great addition. PC players may have to deal with some delays with updates but at least they still get to enjoy the title. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases on 9 January 2020 for PC.
