Koei Tecmo has finally revealed some new information about the upcoming Fairy Tail game that’s based on the long-running anime and manga. The info involves the story arcs that will be featured, and the playable characters that will be available in the upcoming title.
The publisher has confirmed that the Tenrou Island, Grand Magic Games, and Tartaros Island arcs will all be included in the game. They went on further to state that the plot of the game will take place somewhere halfway through the anime, and that it will include original content.
Original episodes will give players “unique scenes” in which characters are able to bond. As for which characters will be in the game, it has been confirmed that Natsu will be the main character but not the only playable character. Other playable figures include Lucy, Erza and Gray, and Wendy. Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockser will also be joining the cast, giving players a better chance of playing as their favorite character.
This new information, along with the gameplay trailer released at EGX, has certainly given players something to look forward to. Fairy Tail is set to release sometime in 2020.
