The Witcher 3 Nintendo Switch Release Date Revealed

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available on the Nintendo Switch on 15 October.

During E3 2019, Nintendo announced that one of the most celebrated RPG games in recent years, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Since the announcement, many fans have been wondering about how the game will run on the limited system and when they will be able to get their hands on the game. Those fans no longer have to wonder as during Gamescom 2019, it was announced that The Witcher 3 will be arriving on the Switch on 15 October.

A second trailer was also released at the conference, giving players a more extensive look at the game. The trailer shows off some gameplay and iconic scenes from the title, and also included footage of the DLC. CD Projekt Red also stated that it took about a year to get to the game to work on the portable system.

The Switch version of the game will be the complete edition as it will include the DLC expansion packs, and it will all fit on a single 32GB cartridge with no downloads required. Many have asked about how the game will run on the system since there are some hardware limitations, but CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the game will run at 720p60fps.

Some media has already been given access to the game and are impressed at how well the game runs on the system. (If you want an in-depth look, Digital Foundry has posted their impressions on the game.)

Now that the game’s release date has been revealed, it seems that the whole idea of it coming to the Switch is more real. Many fans can’t wait to experience the adventure in a new way and on a new system.
