Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has become one of the most-anticipated Dragon Ball games in recent years, with new details about the game continuing to surface. When the title was first revealed, there was some concern as it seemed that the game would only cover the Sayian saga due to the footage that was shown. Though that doesn’t seem to be the case as new details have revealed that it will cover both the Namek and Cell saga too.
At Gamescom 2019, Bandai Namco showed off a new trailer, revealing the Cell saga and gameplay of Gohan. The trailer shows off some of the most famous moments from the saga, including the fight between Gohan and Cell. It also gave us quick glimpses of the many side missions and side-stories in the game, such as Goku training Gohan in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber before his transformation and Goku and Piccolo learning how to drive. (It’s funny to see the game including a filler episode of the anime.)
Though the news of the Cell saga addition is good news, many are now wondering if the game will cover the Buu saga as well. It’s also created some excitement over what other side missions/stories will be included in the title, especially as we’ve already been told that the game will include stories not found in the manga or anime.
This also means that the roster of playable characters may increase since we already know Goku won’t be the only playable character. Perhaps, players may even get to play as Vegeta or Trunks when they fight Cell.
With the inclusion of the Cell saga, many fans are wondering just how far the game will go into the series. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release for PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2020.
What do you think of the Cell Saga footage we’ve seen?
