Hello Games Interested In Producing A No Man’s Sky Switch Port

Sean Murray may be interested in making a Nintendo Switch port.

The Nintendo Switch has a number of ports of coming to the system. This could now include Hello Games sci-fi, procedurally generated title, No Man’s Sky. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a Switch version being the only system missing from the list. However, there could be a future for the game on the Nintendo Switch, according to a recent statement made by Hello Games founder Sean Murray.

Although No Man’s Sky originally launched on the PC and PlayStation 4, it eventually did make its way to the Xbox One. Murray recently spoke to Game Informer about a potential Nintendo Switch port. “I love the Switch. We’re obviously very focused on what we’re doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So, I’d be interested to see what’s possible. But at the moment, we’re just very focused on what we’re doing right now.”

It seems that while Hello Games would love to work on a Switch port, they are currently busy with an upcoming update for No Man’s Sky. The new update is called No Man’s Sky Beyond, and will add full VR support, a new multiplayer hub, and more base building options, among other things.

The journey of No Man’s Sky has been really interesting. Fans have gotten so many new new features over the years. It seems likely that a Switch port will be the end of a very long journey for Hello Games if it ever happens.
