Luigi’s Mansion 3 Will Release On Halloween

Nintendo has confirmed that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will launch on 31 October.

There have been so many rumours about Luigi’s Mansion 3 release date. Well, someone has to give credit to Nintendo’s marketing team because they have given the spooky game perfect release date: 31 October (also known as Halloween). This will be the green plumber’s first adventure on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo announced the release date on their Twitter page. We saw gameplay for Luigi’s Mansion 3 at E3 2019 but at the time, no release date was attached. The game will feature new functions for catching ghosts such, as the Slam, Suction Shot and Burst Attack manoeuvre, and will also provide Luigi with a new weapon known as the Poltergust G-00.

A new multiplayer mode called the ScareScraper will also be introduced in the title, where up to eight people can play together either locally or online. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will not take place in a mansion this time but rather a hotel.

The game’s official description reads as “Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends. With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous floors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them.”

The game is due to be released after the Nintendo Switch Lite, which means you’ll have different options to play on. Are you ready to hunt some ghosts on Halloween?
