PlayStation Plus‘ monthly line-up of games always creates a great deal of excitement among subscribers. At the end of each month, players wonder which games Sony will place on offer. Well, it seems that we may have gotten a small glimpse of what lays in store for the month of August 2019 with a recent leak. It is important to note that nothing has been confirmed by Sony but if this leak is accurate, we may get a good pair of games.

The leak comes from Glitched Africa who allege a PS4 user sent them photos of proof of the games listed as free from PlayStation Plus. So, what are the games? If the photos are real, the games on offer for August 2019 are Star Wars Battlefront 2 and EA Sports UFC 3. Though these games are a nice addition, they have been discounted many times before, which means that many PS4 users may own them already.

Again, it is important to take this news with a grain of salt as there has been no confirmation from Sony. Although these games are free, this may not be due to PlayStation Plus. With EA Access coming to the PS4 on 24 July, this may be the reason why they are listed as free. It makes sense since both games are published by EA.

Although this is a nice set of games, there are doubts that Sony would be so quick to add a game like UFC 3 to the line-up as it seems many users don’t enjoy free sports games. Sony recently replaced PES 2019 with Detroit: Become Human in their July line-up of PlayStation Plus games.

Although many may be excited about the potential leak, we will have to wait for Sony’s announcement in coming weeks to see if it’s true. As for now, PlayStation Plus users can grab Detroit: Become Human and Horizon Chase Turbo.
