One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Announced For PS4, Xbox One and PC

Bandai Namco announces One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Know for consoles and PC.

One Punch Man has become one of the most popular anime series of recent times, with its world of superheroes and wacky protagonist Saitama, who is able to eliminate all his enemies with a single punch. Recently, Bandai Namco surprised everyone by announcing the anime’s first ever full-release video game titled One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, which will be heading to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One  This comes as a surprise as there was no mention of the game being developed.

The title is being developed by Spike Chunsoft, who previously developed the anime fighting game, Jump Force. It seems to be a 3v3 fighting game that features characters from the series. Players will be forming teams with other characters pitting them against each other similar to Jump Force. The game will also feature no English dub as shown in the trailer. The trailer is amusing as it shows Saitama not being hurt by anyone and finishing them off with a single punch. Not sure if this is just for the trailer because Saitama could potentially break the game with his stats.

Here’s the official description from Bandai Namco. “The first ever console game based on One Punch Man is coming to PS4, X1 and PC! Get ready to play 3v3 battles as Saitama, Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, Mumen Rider and more in ONE PUNCH MAN: A HERO NOBODY KNOWS! Can you take down your foes with a single punch?” There hasn’t been any news on a story mode or whether it will cover events in the anime or the manga. The announcement didn’t come with a release date but we can presume it will be sometime this year to capitalise on the success of the anime.

Fans of the series now have something to look forward to when the anime ends. There is also a mobile game in the works, which will launch after the ending of the second season.
