Since E3 2019, many gamers have been aboard the hype train for Cyberpunk 2077. With the excellent cinematic trailer and the announcement that John Wick star Keanu Reeves will be a part of the game, fans want to know more about the game. Well, CD Projekt Red just dropped some new info regarding its ending and future in terms of DLC. The developer has ensured that the game will be complete at launch with a “very rewarding” ending ahead of any future story DLC.
During a recent interview with Prima Games, UI coordinator Alvin Liu discussed the ending of Cyberpunk 2077 and how the developers are looking into making expansions for the game without getting into spoiler territory. When talking about expansions, Liu said “We want make sure everything’s complete, but we also want to build open-worlds. I know when I was playing The Witcher 3 and I finished everything, I still wanted to know what everyone was up to. I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.”

Liu also comment on the game’s characters and their development through the story and how choices will change them forever. Liu stated, “You’re going to see characters and you’ll see them develop. You’re going to see them go through conflicts and resolve those conflicts. It’ll be a very rewarding ending. We’re not withholding content, we’re not withholding story…You’re going to get the whole, full value game here.”
This shows that CD Projekt Red will have same amount of polish as The Witcher 3, which had huge story expansions with the final DLC being as big as The Witcher 2. This means that players can expect a long playtime from Cyberpunk 2077, even after they have finished the game. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on 16 April 2020 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
