Spyro Will Be Coming To Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Along With Free Content

The game will receive post-release free content. One seasonal release will add Spyro.

Crash Tag Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is just days away from being released but that hasn’t stopped new information about the game from coming out. Activision Blizzard and developer Beenox announced that there will be free seasonal content coming to the game starting on 3 July 2020. Along with this seasonal content, it seems that a certain purple dragon will be joining the roster of characters.

Beenox has confirmed that Chick Gizzard Lips and co-host Stew will return to host the CTR TV news channel. Players can tune into CTR TV through the game where they will introduce players to each Grand Prix and its objectives. They also confirmed that Tawna, Ami, Isabella, Megumi and Liz will be coming to the game along with Spyro. These seasonal events will be called Grands Prixes and each one will add new tracks, characters and more customisation options. The first track will be the Twilight Tour, which will take place in the Middle East. Spyro will be appearing in the third Grand Prix but we aren’t sure exactly what he will be bringing to the game. All of these Grands Prix will be free to all players who buy the game.

Crash Tag Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a remaster of the 1999 PlayStation 1 game Crash Team Racing. The game includes the most famous Crash Bandicoot heroes and villains as they settle their differences on the race track. Though the title may not be as big as Mario Kart, it gained quite a following with PlayStation fans. When the original Crash Bandicoot was remastered into the Crash Banicoot N.Sane Trilogy, many fans hoped that Crash Team Racing would receive the same treatment and we finally got it at The Game Awards.

It seems that Crash Tag Team Racing Nitro-Fueled knows exactly what its fans want with the free updates and no micro-transactions. It seems the game will be just as good as the original one or maybe even better. Many players can’t wait to settle it on the track come 21 June.
