Final Fantasy VII Remake Coming March 2020

The Final Fantasy VII Remake will be launching on 3 March 2020 for PS4.

Square Enix has officially confirmed that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch worldwide on 3 March 2020 for PlayStation 4. This announcement comes before their the publisher’s E3 2019 press conference and rather during a reunion concert for the game that took place earlier in the day. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer which showed a ton of new footage and gameplay for the game. There will probably be more information at Square Enix’s E3 press conference, which may include a gameplay demo. The game’s director Tetsuya Nomura hinted as much when he tweeted that this is a short version of the trailer.

The new trailer displays some new gameplay, abilities and story elements, including characters such as Cloud and Barret as well as the bombing mission from the opening of the original Final Fantasy VII. We also get to see the new Omnislash in action, and more action-based combat, which is different from the turn-based system of the original game.

We all know that the Final Fantasy VII Remake has been in development for some time since it announcement all the way back at E3 2015. Since then, development has had many delays and problems. The game went dark for some time and had limited updates until recently. During a recent PlayStation State of Play live-stream, the game was unveiled again with a new trailer. This put it back in the spotlight.

The release date announcement has just built more hype for the game even further as we prepare for the Square Enix press conference. This will clearly be their main highlight but there’s also a high chance for Square Enix to surprise us further. We are all ready to return to Midgar and relive one of the greatest RPG’s of all time.
