Bethesda is pretty much an E3 veteran at this point as this is their fifth appearance at the event. This time their press conference was all about bringing their community together. Bethesda may have not brought Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6, but they did have some heavy-hitters to show off.
Fallout 76 Update Introduces NPCS And A Battle Royale Mode
Fallout 76 will be getting its biggest update yet, which is called “Wastelanders”. The biggest addition it will introduce is the use of NPCs to give you quests during gameplay. This will include brand new storylines and even dialogue trees. There will also be a new mode called “Nuclear Winter”, which is a 52 player battle royale mode. There’s not much information about the mode, but the developers seem happy about it.
Shinji Mikami Studio Announces New Horror Game Called Ghostwire: Tokyo
Shinji Mikami (the creator behind Resident Evil) revealed his studio’s next project: Ghostwire: Tokyo. The trailer didn’t show much but we were told that people have mysteriously vanished from the city and players have to find out what happened to them.
It is a horror but it may not a survival-horror game, such as Mikami’s previous works as it seems more action-oriented. This will be the latest release from his studio, Tango Gameworks, and will be directed by Ikumi Nakamura, whose previous works include Okami and Bayonetta.
Arkane Studios Announces New Game Called Deathloop
Arkane Studios, best known for the Dishonored series, has announced a new title called Deathloop. The game will a first-person shooter, which seems to pit two assassins against each other in an eternal struggle. There was no word on a release date or the platforms it will be available on.
DOOM Eternal Gets a Release Date
Doom Eternal will raise some hell on 22 November 2019 when it comes to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. The news was followed up by a lengthy trailer showing off the title’s story.
The game will include a new mode called Battlemode, which will pit two demon-controlling users against one fully-powered Doom Slayer. Bethesda stated that they will be showing more of the game at QuakeCon.
Wolfenstein: Youngblood Gets A Release Date And A New Wolfenstein VR Game Is Announced
Bethesda finally showed off Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which will add co-op and will be a spin-off following B.J. Blazcowicz’s daughters. The game release on 26 July on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Bethesda also announced that there will be a VR game being added to the Wolfenstein-universe called Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, which will also be coming in July.
Elder Scrolls: Blades Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
Bethesda will be bringing their popular mobile Elder Scrolls: Blades aka “Switchblades” to the Nintendo Switch. It’ll be free-to-play, allow cross-play and have cross-progression with its mobile counterpart. The Switch version will also support Joy-Con motion controls and the mobile version will also be getting a new update, which is available now.
Commander Keen Returns As A Free-To-Play Mobile Game
One of ID Software’s earliest games is making a comeback back. Commander Keen will return as a free-to-play mobile game. It will have soft launch both on IOS and Android.
RAGE 2 Is Getting A New Expansion Which Adds Mechs
The post-apocalyptic shooter Rage 2 will be getting a big expansion called “Rise of the Ghosts.” The update will feature new quests, weapons, and vehicles, and will also add a new gameplay element: mech suits. The update will be available later this year.
